In this class, we will cover the basics of Tkinter on python. We will learn how to create GUIs with interactive features and inputs and outputs. By the end of the class, we will each create a simple calculator GUI. Students will also learn the basics of python along the way since Tkinter is based in python.
In this session, we will cover an introduction to Tkinter, buttons, and input fields. We will lay down the ground work for our calculator GUI.
In the second session, we will focus on the back-end of programming our calculator. How do we make the buttons perform their functions and output the result on the screen?
In the third session, we will finish up the calculator and learn a few additional tkinter functions such as status bars and pop-up messages.
