Action potentials: why do we jump when watching scary movies? Or raise your hand when touching a hot pan? In this class, we will learn the structure/types of nerve cells, and the stimulation of sensory receptors, which leads to the generation of action potentials. Synapses: for homeostasis to be achieved, our cells MUST be able to communicate with each other via hormones or electrical impulses. In this class, we will learn about the conduction of impulses across the axon and synapses, mastering the complex series of steps involved
