Supporting tutors and students during COVID-19

By Hannah C

With the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation developing quickly, we believe it’s important to be transparent about how Tutorful is responding to the outbreak. Our first concern is the health and safety of our employees and of the thousands of tutors and students who use our website to connect with each other.

As of Wednesday 18th March at 9:00am, the official government advice is to reduce unnecessary social contact. We encourage all of our tutors and students to stay informed and up to date with the latest advice. You may find the following websites useful:

Gov.uk Guidance on COVID-19 | NHS Health information & advice

If our tutors and students are happy to continue with face to face lessons, this is a choice they must discuss amongst themselves and make a decision. Tutorful encourages all our users to explore our online classroom function and consider it as an alternative to in-person lessons during this period. You can learn more about online learning and the online classroom by visiting our FAQs.

We encourage all of our users to familiarise themselves with our cancellation policy. Whether a lesson is scheduled in-person or online, users are expected to give ample notice that they are no longer available. For more information, our cancellation policy is available to read here.

From Wednesday 18th March, the Tutorful team will be working remotely. All of our key functions will go ahead as usual and the service you can expect will not change. You can still contact our customer success team using our online chat function, or by emailing support@tutorful.co.uk

Providing the best experience for our users is the highest priority for us at Tutorful. We will continue to diligently work to protect everyone who uses our service. We are closely monitoring this evolving situation and will provide updates as needed.
