If you’re reading this it means you’re on our website.
And if you’re on our website, it means you’ll have (hopefully!) noticed that things are looking a little different around here recently. A little more aesthetically pleasing, you might say.
We’ve not just stuck on a new logo and given our site a lick of paint. We’ve created a whole new identity shaped around who we are and what we want to achieve.
Whilst we didn’t want to make a huge song and dance over it (ok we did a little bit - we’re excited!) we wanted to put a quick post together to give everyone a bit of background on our new visual identity.
As a business, you need to have priorities.
Ours have always been focused on making things better for our tutors and students. Ensuring we have a state-of-the-art classroom, making it simple and quick to communicate and book lessons, and confirming that every tutor on our site has the right skills and experience, as well as bespoke onboarding from us, to make sure we only offer quality tuition.
One thing that has always been put on the back-burner is carving out an identity. We want Tutorful to be a brand that people remember. When people see our logo we want them to think “oh that’s that awesome tutoring company with the really good tutors”.
It was time for us to mould our whole look and feel across the website, our emails, and our apps - everything Tutorful - into something we could be truly proud of.
And guess what - we think we cracked it!
For such a big and important project, we knew we needed help.
That’s why we made the decision to draft in the wonderful folk at Output.
We gave them all the information that they needed about who we are, what we believe in, and what we want to achieve. They then used this to create a new visual identity for us, with lots of back and forth and input from us of course!
We started off with a wide variety of ideas and designs, and narrowed them down to some of our favourites - the ones we felt the most connection with.
Spoilt for choice!
We already had a good idea of what Tutorful represented, what we wanted to say, and how we wanted to say it. We just needed someone to put it down on paper for us. After all, we’re a tutoring company - not a design agency!
We wanted our new brand to reflect how caring, compassionate our team and tutors are, and how dedicated we are to helping children unlock their potential.
Finding a tutor can be a daunting process, so we want people to know that they can trust Tutorful, and that by choosing us, they are truly investing in their child’s future.
Luckily, when we saw it, we just knew it was Tutorful.
It all started to come together
The colour palette, the quirky icons - even the font, they were everything that we’d envisioned.
We loved the dark green colour (we’re told its proper name is “Petrol Blue”!) and we’re absolutely thrilled to see it splashed across our site.
We know that many people are often wary of change - that’s totally normal.
However, we want to reassure you that there’s absolutely nothing to worry about! The website and your lessons will still work in the exact same way, it will just look a lot more pleasant and be more representative of Tutorful’s vision.
Yep - that’s our student, Dua, rocking our new homepage!
Most of the changes will actually be taking place right at the front-end - the homepage and ‘How it Works’ page that potential students often navigate to. We’ve completely revamped these pages to make them cooler, quirkier, and hopefully more appealing to new users.
We want the website to attract new students to keep our awesome tutors busy, and of course more awesome tutors to ensure we have a perfect tutor for every student.
Giving Tutorful a voice has been a super exciting process, one that we’re so glad has finally come to fruition. However, we’re now looking to get our teeth stuck into our next projects.
We won’t give too much away at this stage, but there are awesome things in the works here at Tutorful. We just want to say thank you to all our amazing students and tutors for being here with us throughout this journey - we couldn’t do it without you.
